Starzy's Locker Room: Privacy Policy

For the Starzy's Locker Room app for iPhone and iPad, from Motor City Hockey. Last updated October 29, 2026.

The short version: Starzy's Locker Room is made for kids. There are no accounts, no ads, no tracking and no in-app purchases. We never ask for a child's name, email, photo, location or any other personal information, and nothing in the app lets kids chat or share anything with strangers.

What stays on your device

  • Which books your child has finished, and the prizes they've won.
  • How they've dressed Starzy in the Locker Room.
  • Game scores and leaderboards. A name typed on a game's jersey stays on the device and is never sent anywhere.

This is saved only on your iPhone or iPad. Deleting the app deletes it.

The optional Locker Code

A family can tap My Locker Code to get a random code (like STAR-K7Q2) and use it to carry progress to another device. If you choose to use one, our server keeps that code together with the list of finished books and Starzy's outfit. That's all it holds: no name, email or anything that identifies your child. You can ask us to delete one at any time (see below).

Play a Friend (online games)

Two games, Starzy's Sticks & Pucks and Starzy's Breakaway, can be played online with other kids. To keep this safe:

  • Kids pick a hockey nickname from our list (like "Puck Wizard") and a jersey number and color. They can't type a name.
  • There is no chat. The only way to say something is with six friendly emoji reactions (like 👋 Hi! and 👍 Nice!).
  • Breakaway also uses a random number the app makes up, so a player who loses their connection can rejoin the same game. It isn't tied to the device or to anyone.
  • The nickname, number, color and moves in the game are sent to our game server only while playing, so the other players can see them. They are not saved after the game ends.
  • Private games use a short code that friends share with each other. Codes expire after a few hours.
  • Skaters marked 🤖 are computer players, not real people.

What we don't do

  • No advertising, and no third-party analytics or tracking of any kind.
  • No selling or sharing of information with anyone.
  • No links out to websites or social media inside the app.
  • No access to the camera, microphone, photos, contacts or location.

Where it's stored

The Locker Code and online games run on Cloudflare's servers, which handle the connection. Standard internet traffic details (like an IP address) are used only to deliver the game and are not stored by us or used to identify anyone.

Children's privacy (COPPA)

We built the app so that we never collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has shared personal information with us, contact us and we will delete it.

Questions or deleting a Locker Code

Parents can reach us at any time through motorcityhockey.com/contact. Tell us the Locker Code and we'll delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update it on this page and change the date at the top.
