Program Feeder to USA Hockey Club (USA Eagles).

Message from The Coach:
Hi Everyone, I'm Coach Rich. I am excited to meet you all if I haven't already. I am honored that you have interest or are signing up for our program. It means the world to me. Hockey is in my blood and in my every thought. My mission is to provide our players with the best youth hockey experience ever. I have been coaching hockey for over 21 years! Coaching little 2 year olds to players that went onto win Stanley Cups.
I can work with any age level player. . . I love working with the little kids. It's a BLAST and focusing on mastering the fundamentals and helping establish our players 'love for the game of hockey is an honor.
As our players are, we are also constantly evolving. I have been coaching for many years. I would like to say I have seen it all, but I haven't. Everyday is a new day for development and areas of improvement in our hockey programming. We are never satisfied and learn something new each and everyday. Mistakes are made, we learn and grow from them. We are not perfect but strive to be the BEST.
My vision is to impact players on the game of hockey that lasts a lifetime. I have a college degree, I have coached professional hockey players. . . This is where I want to be. With you. With your kid(s). Right here. Right now. This is the program my son participated in, this is the program I believe in. These are my methods. This is my whole heart. I give it my all. It's MOTOR CITY FOREVER.
The best times are right here right now. Let's enjoy it. Welcome to our hockey fam. Let's build a culture and community above any other program.
I have seen the drama in hockey. I have coached a countless amount of players. I want players & families that will value our ethics and programming. I will have you back for your players entire youth career.
This is NOT a program. . . This is HOCKEY FAMILY. . .
My love always with hockey & long after,
Coach Rich

- Where is the goalie equipment? Rink (A) Far right rink if looking at DSC head on. Walk into the rink, it's in the top right corner if you are looking at the rink head on. Right next to the dance studio. Goalie equipment is in a bag or in a black labeled bin. Goalie sticks are in the corner.
- Goalie Checklist: Blocker, Glove, Leg Pads, Stick.
Snack Allergy Awareness

Due to the amount of games, not all families were given the opportunity to participate. If you would like to bring something special in for the kids for a practice day etc. It is highly encouraged and appreciated.
LIFE AFTER STARS.
Players will NEVER outgrow Motor City Hockey
Our House program goes up to 8U. Motor City Hockey offers advanced training programs & more. Current training programs go up to age 19 years old.
Travel Hockey Transparency
- Travel hockey is NOT for everyone.
- Players will develop and be ready for travel hockey at different speeds.
- Example (A) Player X went to travel hockey (1) year prior to player O. That doesn't mean player X will be better than player O as the players progress.
- Everyone progresses at a different pace and speed.
- There is NOTHING WRONG with aging out of 8U. Coach Rich's nephew Isaac played for the Future Stars and aged out of 8U. Isaac now plays at the Howe 1 travel level and will likely be moving to Yzerman which is right below AAA hockey.
